Bio & Research interests
I graduated from EPFL’s physics department after a Masters project on demosaicing here at IVRG in 2003. After working two years at the Swatch Group R&D Laboratories, in the Displays Department, I returned to IVRG as a PhD student. During my first year, I have worked on perceptually uniform RGB color spaces. Since then, I have been working on two aspects of the same problem under the title Exploiting Color Redundancy in Images. One part of my work is on illuminant retrieval for fixed location cameras. The other part of my work took me to HP Labs, in Palo Alto, California, where we have been working on retrieving colors from uncalibrated images.
